PREGNANCY & OBSTETRICS ULTRASOUND

 

Pregnancy ultrasound scans can be done from 5 weeks. You can find out the gender of your baby from 18 weeks.

 

A detailed anatomy scan is offered at 18+ weeks which detects any anatomical problems. Additionally, growth problems can be monitored via ultrasound in the third trimester.

SMALL PARTS ULTRASOUND

 

Scans of small body parts such as:

 

  • thyroid

  • scrotum

  • breasts

  • neo-natal head/infant brain scans

ABDOMINAL & GYNAELOGICAL ULTRASOUND

 

The body's internal organs can be examined by ultrasound. Organs include, but are not limited to:

 

  • liver

  • gallbladder

  • spleen

  • pancreas

  • kidneys & bladder

  • uterus & ovaries

ENDOCAVITY ULTRASOUND

 

Endocavity ultrasound is used to assess a woman's reproductive organs i.e. uterus, ovaries and cervix.

MUSCULOSKELETAL ULTRASOUND

 

Disorders of joints and soft tissue can be evaluated by ultrasound. These include shoulder, elbow, foot, ankle, hand, wrist, hip, knee, and soft tissue of any region.

DOPPLER ULTRASOUND

 

Doppler ultrasound is used to detect blood vessel blockages such as clots, narrowing of blood vessels and vascular abnormalities. It is also used for umbilical artery assessment in pregnancy.
